General Terms and Conditions of Enrolment and Participation

These General Terms and Conditions of Enrolment and Participation (hereinafter the ‘Terms’) govern enrolment in and participation in Luxembourgish language courses organised by Moien ASBL, a non-profit association under Luxembourg law.
By confirming your registration, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Terms.
1. Purpose
Moien ASBL organises Luxembourgish language courses for adults with the aim of teaching, promoting and fostering the use of the Luxembourgish language.
2. Registration Conditions
The courses are open only to persons aged 18 or over.
All enrolments are personal and cannot be transferred to a third party.
Enrolment becomes final following:
- receipt of the duly completed enrolment form;
- full payment of the enrolment fee;
- confirmation of enrolment by Moien ASBL.
3. Fees and Payment
The applicable fee is that of the subsidised course, which is €3 per hour of tuition.
This rate is set by the Ministry of National Education, Adult Education Department (MEN-SFA).
4. Cancellation and refunds
No refunds or postponements shall be granted pursuant to Article 7 of the Grand-Ducal Regulation of 6 May 2013, published in the Mémorial A under number N-84: ‘No sum paid upon registration shall be refunded unless the organiser cancels
5. Changes to or cancellation of a session
Moien ASBL may change the timetable, venue or trainer, or postpone a session if circumstances so require, in particular in the event of force majeure, the trainer’s unavailability or an insufficient number of participants.
6. Participation
Each participant undertakes to comply with the conditions necessary for the smooth running of the course :
- Respect other participants, instructors, volunteers, and organizers
- Behave respectfully and without discrimination;
- Adhere to the class schedule;
- Use the facilities and equipment with care.
Any behavior that disrupts the smooth running of classes may result in expulsion without a refund.
7. Teaching materials
The purchase of the textbook ‘Schwätzt Dir Lëtzebuergesch’, corresponding to the level of the course being attended, is compulsory and constitutes a condition of participation in the course. Participants undertake to obtain this book before the start of the course.
Courses are delivered in accordance with the proficiency levels defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), as applied to the teaching of the Luxembourgish language.
Any additional course materials provided or shared with participants are protected by copyright.
They are intended for personal use only and may not be reproduced, distributed or sold without authorisation.
8. Liability
Moien ASBL is run exclusively by volunteers.
Each participant is responsible for their own personal belongings.
Moien ASBL cannot be held liable for any loss, theft or damage to personal property, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct. (applies to face-to-face courses)
9. Protection of personal data
Personal data is processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Luxembourg legislation.
The information collected is used solely for the following purposes:
- to manage registrations;
- to communicate with participants;
- to organise the courses;
- to comply with legal obligations.
Participants have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict the processing of, object to and transfer their data.

10. Right to one’s image
Photographs or videos may be taken during courses or events organised by Moien ASBL.
They will only be used for communication purposes with the prior consent of the person concerned or in accordance with the applicable regulations.
11. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Luxembourg law.
Any dispute shall fall within the jurisdiction of the Luxembourg courts, unless otherwise required by mandatory statutory provisions.
12. Confirmation
By ticking the box provided during online registration, you declare that:
- you have read these General Terms and Conditions;
- you accept them without reservation;
- you acknowledge that the courses are reserved for adults;
- you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Moien ASBL’s privacy policy.
